1. Data Controller

Archivio o.z.
Mozartova 6329/8, 917 08, Trnava, Slovak Republic
Email: info@archivio.sk

2. What Data We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Name and surname – provided during registration
  • Email address – used for login and account communications
  • Password – stored in hashed form; we never see your plain-text password

Our servers also automatically record:

  • IP address and access logs – for security and diagnostics
  • Browser type and device information – from standard HTTP headers

3. Password Security

Your password is never stored in plain text. Before being saved to the database it is processed using a one-way cryptographic hashing algorithm (bcrypt or Argon2id). This means that even in the unlikely event of a data breach, your original password cannot be recovered from the stored value.

We strongly recommend using a unique password for this website and not reusing passwords across services.

4. Voluntary Contributions

If you choose to make a voluntary financial contribution to support this website, payment processing is handled by your and/or our bank. We receive only a notification that a contribution was made; your full card or bank account details are not transmitted to or stored by us.

Personal data you provide during the payment process (e.g. name, email) is processed by your and/or our bank in accordance with their own privacy policy.

5. Cookies and Analytics

This website uses cookies to maintain your session (login state) and, where enabled, Google Analytics to help us understand how the site is used. If you are logged in, your activity is associated with your internal account ID and account role (not your name or email) so we can see usage patterns per account β€” this is pseudonymous, not anonymous, data. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings.

6. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Account data (name, email): Necessary to perform the contract with you – Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR
  • Server logs (IP address): Legitimate interest in ensuring security and availability of the service – Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR
  • Analytics: Your consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you may withdraw at any time

7. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

To exercise your rights, contact us at: info@archivio.sk

9. How to Request Account Deletion

To request deletion of your account and all associated personal data, send an email to info@archivio.sk with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm by email once your data has been deleted.

Please note that some data (e.g. anonymised security logs) may be retained for a limited period for security or legal reasons.

10. Complaints

If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you may file a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority (dataprotection.gov.sk).

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the website.
